Huntington Beach
We had a fun field trip at Huntington  Beach. From getting a lecture about rip tides and stingray shuffle to beach flags and enjoying the waves Here are a few pictures of our day there.




Cookie Day
Tuesday June 18

We are inviting  Parents to come and join in on the junior guard experience from 9am until 11am on June 18th. Parents will be joining in on morning stretches and rescue cans orientation as well as some relays. Parents are welcome to join  in on land or water activities this is completely optional. You can enjoy lunch.


Where does the cookie contest come in?

  • There will be three categories:

  • Most creative decorated design

  • Best Tasting and

  • Most Interesting

Does it just have to be cookies?

  • Deserts can be anything not just cookies. Any Homemade baked goods will be considered.

  • If you bake cookies please and want to be considered for the taste please make at least 12.

Information

Please pack plenty of water so you junior guard can stay hydrated!

If you wanted to make any additional purchases please pay at our headquarters off of Via Verde at the stop sign as you enter the park.  Bring your claim ticket to the trailer and we can hand you the merchandise you just paid for. (Note: you will not be able to pick up uniforms on a field trip day)

 
Friendly reminder please come to a complete stop at the kiosk while entering the park and maintain a speed limit of 15 MPH throughout the park.
Raging Waters
Wednesday June 19
  •   Drop off 9 am pick up 5 pm

Drop off is on the powerboat launch which is on the other Side of the lake off of Puddingstone Dam, pick up is at Raging Waters pick up location.

You Junior guard will have to purchase food inside the park. Lunch boxes are not allowed. If they have a special dietary need please let us know.

 

How to get to the Raging Waters drop off point:


From San Dimas Ave.  
Take Puddingstone Drive

Turn Right at the first Kiosk.where our powerboat launch is located at

 

The pick up location  will be At Raging waters pick up location. Turn in to Raging Waters. Don’t Pay!! keep driving straight and we will be on the left hand side.

 

  • Don’t forget to print the field trip permission slip. (also attached)

Upcoming dates:

June 25 - Intra Lake Competition at Bonelli Park - 8 am

Come watch and cheer on your Junior guard as Bonelli competes against Santa Fe Dam and Castaic Lake.  This is a fun exciting day to watch with many events for your Junior guard to compete in.
You are welcome to stay for the day. Bring a chair, umbrella and cooler as there are no concession stands. Leave your pets at home they are not allowed on the beach or in the water.



June 27th -  Hog Dog Day

We are asking for any donations for our hot dog day coming on the third week of the program June 27th. Any donations are greatly appreciated. (Below is a link to a google document that you can fill in. If you can not open it then you can email us or come into the trailer  and sign up)
